Founded in October of 2000, Noteworthy is one of the only groups at Cal focused on showcasing original student compositions. We are also well known for our original takes on popular covers and are not afraid to perform the most niche and indie songs out there today.
In the end though, Noteworthy is about fun, and that’s the main reason we’re here. We all love to sing, perform, and entertain audiences anywhere!.
Thanks to our unique combination of performativity, humor, and originality, we are a major fixture on campus, having been asked to perform at San Francisco City Hall, University House, the Faculty Club, and UC Berkeley’s 2022 Commencement.
We also LOVE to host groups from all over the country and have hosted Harvard’s LowKeys and USC’s Trojan Men. If you’re an a cappella group touring in the Bay Area, please let us know and we’ll put together an awesome show for you!
You guys definitely have the BEST outfits!

If there’s anything that we love more than singing, it’s the #1 ranked university: UC Berkeley GO BEARS! If you’re tailgating near campus, e-mail us with where you’ll be and we’ll stop by; all we ask is for your enthusiastic attention! We also love showcasing Berkeley to prospective students and riling up the student body with our unique renditions of Cal songs.
We also host UC Berkeley’s A Cappella “Orientation”, Welcome [Back] to A Cappella at the beginning of every semester since 2008! Students pack the largest lecture halls on campus to hear 13+ Cal a cappella groups perform for all the new Golden Bears. This show is always a lot of fun and is FREE so we hope you’ll join us for it!
We invite you to learn more about us! Check us out whenever you hear us performing or consider hiring us for your upcoming event. GO BEARS!
